Samples of metalwork

Friday

Wow this week went fast. Between bible studies, school and some occasional work time is flying by. I am so excited for spring. Cara has her onion plants growing. She could put them in her cold frame now if she wanted to. The chickens are busy and enjoy the scraps I bring them. Caras wont eat them so she gives her scraps to her other chickens. I went to school last night and it was snowing really bad. Many cars in the ditch on 380. I think people forget how to drive in it. My owl for Pat is coming along. School has been sort of productive. Going one night a week doesnt get me alot of time to produce stuff. Snow is nice and pretty this morning. We got about 4 or 5 inches here. Think spring!

Sickness

After seeing Brenna be sick all weekend it is now my turn. Fever chills and headache. I haven't really been sick in awhile so I forget how it feels. I have much to do and as I miss work it always makes me feel guilty. I only work 6 days out of 14 and yet I feel bad. Thanks for all of you out there that cover for me when I am sick. Well its off to the warmness of my blankies on the couch. Be well and think spring.

Fridays

Why is it that Fridays come and go so fast? This morning was coffee with the church ladies. I had 4 shots of espresso. I love it but now I can see the day starting to drag and I have to go to work in a few hours. So I switched to Mt Dew. Yes the devil drink will keep me going. I am going to probably go to bed early tonight. Brenna and Brandon are cooking supper tonight. I am glad as then I can just come home and do nothing. Larry has the day off and that is 2 days this week for him. Plans to go to Mo for the day tomorrow. I would go for the weekend but I am doing a class for church and I am committed to that for the next 4 Sundays.

Eggs and noodles

I saw on Melissa's blog a picture of the noodles I made. I never thought to take pictures of them. They looked nice in the pot and everyone loved them. I told them Wednesday night I would make a big ol roaster full for potluck on March 6th for baby shower pot luck. It was a split of either chicken or beef. So I may have to do both. It will be like making noodles for family dinners at Lynnette's. Whats another 50 or 60 people?LOL

So today was a beautiful mid winter day. We got our truck back and it seems to work. I shouldn't be afraid to drive it now. Driving it means I can scrounge for metal. Also started up little Red. Second push of the button and it fired right up. I am looking into a small disc to buy so I can tear up some soil. The warm sun felt good on this old vitamin D deficient person.

Fun at welding school

I am special at welding school. I go I do what I want then I get a grade for it. How can you not like that? I get to look through heaps of scrap metal and see if anything inspires me. Evidently I am into making birds. Feathers are cool to make. I spent most of the class cutting feathers out of thin scrap metal. I am making an owl for Pat at work. She needs a bigger better one. The one I made earlier was to small and dangerous. I guess my art work is not for small kids. Lots of sharp pointy things.
